The Sanskrit term Jyotish
translates as the Lord of light, the science of heavenly lights.

Everything in the universe is involved in the creation of light in one form or another.
Biological life arises from the sunlight digested by plants through the progress of photosynthesis, which is the food that sustains all .
In fact our solar system is one single organism, and the effect of sunlight and moonlight are relative to the metabolism of life- circles and
reproductive habits. Life becomes the transformer of light.— So is the mind, whose main function is to perceive creative thoughts of the internal light. This light is the Divine Conscience, or Atma.
This power of consciousness is the highest and most subtle form of light, and the connection of physics, biology and spirituality is the basis of
Vedic Astrology.
The universe dwells within our own consciousness, which is the expression of our own deeper Self.
Simple organic progressions parallel the enfoldment of the universe and the struggle of the individual soul.
Through this insight, of this Cosmo genesis, we can reintegrate our self into the conscious universe and be a part of a single organic being of
love, light and bliss.
