SOUS CHEF (WITH BANQUETING EXPERIENCE) – Environmental School, Simondium
-URGENT-
We are urgently seeking an operationally strong SOUS CHEF to form part of a dynamic kitchen team at an Environmental School situated in Simondium.
The ideal Sous Chef is reliable, dependable, a self-starter as well as a team player and must be able to execute a menu under pressure as per standards set by Head Chef. At least 2 years’ experience at Sous Chef level with Banqueting experience. A Tertiary Qualification in Culinary Arts will be advantageous.
The key role is to prepare 240 meals daily. A strong background relating to Banqueting and Vegetarian food preparation essential. The property offers herb and vegetable gardens whereby daily fresh produce is foraged.
Key Position Specs:
Working hours: 7am – 4pm
Annual leave to be taken over the December school break
Own transport essential and willing to work flexible hours. To be well spoken, fluent in English and to have a sound knowledge of best cooking and kitchen practices.
Remuneration: R13 000 – R17 000pm +(dependant on experience and qualification)
